The Captain Truman E. Pomeroy and Mary Opdyke Pomeroy Photo CollectionCaptain Truman E. Pomeroy (1840-1894) was tha son of Truman E. Pomeroy Sr. and Martha Whiting Read Pomeroy. Born and raised in Ohio, he joined the Union Army in Michigan while attending college with his brothers. Capt. Pomeroy married Mary Opdyke 5 Aug 1869 in Benton County, Missouri. The couple had three children, Gertrude, Catherine, and Daisy Esther. The below are a selection of photographs from a CDV album that belonged to this family.
