Bill Pomeroy and the Pomeroy Collection

Bill Pomeroy, an Eltweed descendant through Medad, is the founder and CEO of CXtec, in Syracuse, NY.
Bill grew up in a family full of home-grown genealogists. Bill’s initial interest in his Pomeroy genealogy has turned into a labor of love, for both genealogy and local history.  Bill now has a department of 3 full-time and 10 part-time employees whose main focus is his genealogical and local history interests.

Those interests include the Pomeroy Collection, started by Bill in 2000.  When Bill started focusing on his Pomeroy research via the internet, he started to find many interesting 'Pomeroy' collectables.  Unable to resist the urge to find out more about the Pomeroys associated with these objects, he began to ponder the possiblity of an online Pomeroy museum.

With the purchase of PastPerfect Museum Collection software in 2005, the Project Roots team has started to enter the collection into the database and to further research the many objects in the collection.  As we continue to enter and research the collection we will also be adding and updating this website.  We encourage you to visit our online museum often and hope that you enjoy this unique museum.
